Discovering our enchanting hinterland

Wandering here and there

For a holiday in the true essence of Romagna, you cannot miss a visit to the most beautiful places in our hinterland, characterised by ancient villages, fascinating natural landscapes and interesting places of art to be discovered.

Rimini

Thanks to our strategic location you can reach Rimini within minutes and in a sustainable manner, either by Metromare or by bicycle, thanks to the convenient cycle path along the sea.

Let yourself be captivated by the enchanting charm of a city that holds in the heart of its historic centre traces of the ancient Romans, delicately interwoven with Renaissance and modern architecture.

And if you fancy a coffee break or a meal out, you can count on the presence of many restaurants, atmospheric eateries and piadinerie.

Santarcangelo di Romagna

About 10 kilometres from Rimini lies Santarcangelo, a town with a magical and colourful atmosphere. Beloved by its inhabitants and the many tourists, is characterised by the presence of a gentle weave of narrow streets with restaurants and bars where you can stop to drink a good glass of Sangiovese and enjoy a dish of homemade pasta or meat. But Santarcangelo also hides a mysterious fascination: a complex system of caves, underground passages and secret escape routes used in the past by the inhabitants to defend themselves and now open to tourists.

Gradara

An ancient medieval village characterised by its beautiful castle perfectly maintained, where one can still breathe in the romantic atmosphere of its past. The castle is in fact famous for having been the seat of the troubled love story between Paolo and Francesca, also recounted by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy. From the top of the castle perched on a hill, one can admire the beautiful landscape of the valley stretching down to the sea.

Saludecio

Another fascinating village steeped in history to be discovered, made up of refined palaces, important sacred buildings and the simplest houses in the village. The location has been appreciated since antiquity, as evidenced by the evidence of Roman times and early Middle Ages. For three centuries, starting in the 13th century, the Malatesta made it one of their defensive possessions, due to conflict with the Montefeltro. Today Saludecio is famous for the many events that enliven its streets throughout the year: the Saludecio 800 Festival in August among the most famous.

Montescudo

A characteristic medieval village located on the hill at the foot of Mount Godio in the Conca valley, between the ancient Republic of San Marino and Montefeltro. In the past it was an important control point of the Malatesta family, thanks to its strategic location. Among the points of interest to visit are the Municipal Theatre and the Piazza del Comune, the beating heart of the town from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley, with his gaze wandering as far as the sea.
